Colossians 3:17 – “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Faith is often seen as something that is only practised on Sundays — as if simply “ticking off the box” of having attended church is enough to be in good standing with God. But Christian life is much more than that. Paul challenges us to live a faith that spills over into every moment of the week, into every word and every action.
True Christian life is not limited to attending meetings or fulfilling obligations. It is living in continuous communion with God, reflecting Jesus in all areas of our lives, even when no one is watching.
Romans 12:1 – “I beseech you, brethren, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice…It is not enough to attend church — we must be living sacrifices, surrendering our entire lives to the Lord every day..
Living beyond Sunday means that our relationship with God is constant and real, and that our faith is manifested in small everyday actions: at work, in the family, in the way we treat others, and even in challenges and difficulties.
Do not rush into trying to be a saint only when it suits you, nor pretend to be what you are not in order to please or be accepted. God wants a sincere and steadfast heart, not appearances and fleeting attitudes.
Matthew 5:16 – “Let your light shine before men…
May our light not be extinguished after worship, but shine at all times and in all places.
